We have missed all our participants, carers, supporters and staff. It is exciting news to tell you that we are ready to welcome everyone back on the 18th October 2021.
To ensure the safety of our participants and staff, everyone that enters the centre will be fully vaccinated.
In accordance with the NSW Public Health orders, anyone visiting our sites will need to show proof of double vaccination or a medical exemption, scan in via our QR code, wear a mask and also social distance. At The Ella Centre, the health and safety of our participants, staff and community is our priority. Due to the most recent COVID 19 government advice, The Ella Centre is temporarily closed for service from 6.00pm 26th June 2021 and until we receive notice regarding the current restrictions.
As with the previous lockdown, we are looking at ways of safely offering support to participants during this lockdown period and will be in touch.
Our team is in contact with existing participants and will respond to needs on an individual basis.

The Ella Centre has been most supportive of student placements to complement studies in the areas of Aged Care and Disability over many years.
Regretfully due to COVID19, The Ella will not be accommodating any student placements at our facilities until further notice.
We will maintain a close watch on developments regarding COVID19 and Department of Health guidelines and will update the website if our policy on student placements changes.

Entry Screening Procedure at The Ella Centre
In anticipation of The Ella Centre welcoming our participants, staff and volunteers back, we have introduced an Entry Screening Procedure to minimise the risk of viral transmission to our participants and staff.
At each entry point to The Ella Centre every staff member and visitor will be asked a standard set of screening questions.

The COVID 19 crises has been a difficult time for us all. The impact on The Ella Centre and those for whom we care has been significant. Not being able to provide our much loved group services to our long standing participants has been a huge challenge to everyone involved.
There are signs of a slow and careful recovery in the community and we are also making the appropriate arrangements to welcome our participants back and ensuring that The Ella is safe as well as welcoming.

We hope that all our participants, carers and members of The Ella community are keeping safe and well.
In line with Government restrictions, The Ella Centre is now offering 1:1 support, both in the home and in the community. Some of the types of activities currently offered are arts and crafts, going out to exercise and grabbing a coffee from a local cafe.
